As near every bit I can tell, I would have to shut down all add-ons individually then restart them if this is non the problem. Is this correct?
Besides, you want me to reset IE which will eliminate all changes that I have made and this may or may not solve the problem. Is this correct?
I have uploaded a screen shot of what is happening. Somewhen IE volition lockup and must be closed using Chore director.

What was the URL and how was information technology started? In particular I have noticed recently getting a lot of prompts (Security Alerts) when switching between HTTP and HTTPS. They prevent tabs from opening and closing properly but because they are prompts I at least can do something with them. I have wondered what others might see if the prompt was suppressed but the aforementioned condition was causing the same symptoms without the prompts. Also, others are complaining nigh similar symptoms when Favorites are involved, particularly ones that come from remote shares.
And then, yous might get some additional clues past enabling maximal prompting before doing the close. Otherwise, I think it would assistance to trace your scenario in some way. Simply using the Programmer Tools for its Network capture and Console log might exist plenty. Or using Fiddler (to see if there is a network component to your hangs). Otherwise, I would use ProcMon to find out what is going on.
In any case, if in that location is a network component y'all could endeavour to find out if there is "some other side" to your hang. For case, sometimes at that place are local proxies which could cause this and and so you could see that clearly in the Resource Monitor Network tab. And so instead of killing IE, you lot would impale the other side, for the same result.
